[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]LA SPEZIA – PIAZZA SAINT BON This live webcam is installed at the Venezia Hotel, in the centre of La Spezia, a town located in the easternmost part of the Liguria region. This webcam takes a panoramic view of Piazza Saint Bon, a historic Square which is about one hundred meters from the town’s Central Railway Station. Piazza Saint Bon, dedicated to Admiral Simone Pacoret Saint Bon, is the main gateway to the historic center of La Spezia for tourists and citizens coming from the main Railway Station. In the foreground, the roundabout with a marble monument at its center, the Obelisk, a work by the La Spezia artist Francesco Vaccarone. This work is the visiting card of tourists coming from Via Fiume, the Via della Stazione in fact, and from Via P. Paleocapa, which descends from Piazzale Medaglie d’Oro, located in front of the Railway Station itself. In addition, the Obelisk embellishes the entrance to the historic town center with its positive energy. Behind the monument, on the left of the image, appears Palazzo Calderai, a historic building that is the symbol of La Spezia. It’s an example of Art Nouveau architectural style, which developed between the 19th and 20th centuries. Summer music concerts have been staged in the courtyard at the back of the building for years.
